Show Racism the Red Card – Wear Red Day

On Friday, March 21st, students and staff at our school came together to participate in ‘Wear Red Day,’ an event dedicated to raising awareness about diversity and standing against racism in all its forms. This important initiative allowed our school community to send out a powerful message of unity, acceptance, and celebration of cultural differences. The day was filled with a vibrant display of red as staff proudly donned red clothing, and students accessorised with red ribbons and other red-themed items to show their support for the campaign. By wearing red, our school demonstrated its commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

A special acknowledgment goes to the School of Sanctuary student committee, who played a pivotal role in making this event a success. Their hard work and dedication were evident as they presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year classes about the significance of ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ (SRTRC). Their efforts helped educate younger students on the importance of combating racism and promoting inclusivity in everyday life. Through initiatives like ‘Wear Red Day’, we continue to encourage kindness, respect, and an appreciation for the rich diversity that makes our school a better place. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this day meaningful and impactful.
