Senior German Trip to Germany and Austria
Senior German students enjoyed a three-day trip to Germany and Austria this week. Arriving in Munich the students enjoyed a guided tour of the city where they visited the Museums area and K0nigsplatz; the summer residence of the Wittlesbach family, the Old City Gates and much more. In the evening they had the opportunity to shop in the Christmas market. On day 2, the students visited the Zugspitze, which at 9.788ft is the highest peak in Germany. Arriving to the summit by glacier cable car the students could see hundreds of peaks of the Bavarian Alps in Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Then on to Salzburg to go enjoy a Sound of Music tour of the city and a visit to the famous Hellbrun Christmas market that evening. On day 3 the group had the chance to explore the Olympic Stadium, where the 1972 Summer Games were held and they also visited one of Munich’s famous landmarks the Nymphenberg Palace. A truly memorable trip at a magical time of the year!
