November 6th
The lottery for incoming 1st years 2021 took place on Thursday. All successful applicants will be notified in writing by November 12th. All acceptance/refusal forms along with all the required information must be returned by post to the school by 4 pm on Friday 26th November 2020. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, no acceptance forms can be returned to the school in person. All acceptance forms received after 4 pm on Friday 26th shall be deemed late and will be placed at the end of the waiting list.
Christmas exam week will take place for all students from November 18th-November 25th.
Business students are very busy working on their mini companies in preparation for our annual market day which will be held in early December. As with every event in these times it will be a virtual event with many products using a ‘click and collect’ business model.Watch out for promotions and more ionformation in the coming weeks.
TY students have launched a well-being initiative for the month of November. Postcards with messages of support and well wishes are being sent to residents of Hamilton Park, Nursing Home. This wonderful initiative forms an important link to the wider community of Balbriggan. This coincides with a life skills project that sees TY students sending out letters to 6th class students in local primary schools about life during the pandemic.
TY students participating in the Theatre Make-up module wear busy putting their creative skills to use by creating masquerade masks, with some very beautiful results.
A link to the annual report along with a presentation ‘supporting your daughter with her studies’ will be available for parents and guardians under the parents tab early next week.
To facilitate a staff meeting on Tuesday November 10th, classes will finish early. 1st and 4th year students will finish at 15.40 2nd and 3rd year students at 15.45 and 5th and 6th year students at 15.50.
