Junior Rugby Team – History Makers
A massive congratulations to our Junior Girls Rugby Team for their incredible success in winning the Fingal Cup Final on Friday 21st March. In a thrilling match, the team secured victory by a single point in the final minutes—an achievement made even more remarkable given that they had only trained together a handful of times. Their dedication, teamwork, and determination shone through as they battled their way to the top, making school history by securing the first-ever rugby-related silverware for our school. We are immensely proud of every player who took to the field, showcasing resilience and skill against tough opposition. A special mention to Lily Carew, Chloe Kelly, Kathleen O’Donnell, Phebian Olojede, Amie McCafferty, and Ellie McCormack, whose outstanding performances helped drive the team to this well-earned triumph.
This incredible win marks the beginning of what we hope will be a bright future for rugby in our school. With such talent and commitment on display, we are confident that this is just the start of many more victories to come.
