Health Promotion Week
This week was Health Promotion Week. Each day a different year group and their teachers walked or ran 5k while raising funds for Loreto Rmbek in South Sudan and Pieta House. This whole school event promoted the benefits of healthy eating and exercise as integral parts of our daily routine Students eagerly embraced the opportunity to get out and run or walk together. Upon their return to school, the students enjoyed an array of fresh fruit kindly sponsored by the Kerrigan Family & SuperValu which fuelled their bodies and energize them for the school day. Many thanks also to local business ‘Around a Pound’ who sponsored the balloons. Coupled with regular exercise sessions that encompass everything from team sports to yoga and dance, our school fosters a holistic approach to health and well-being. The positive effects are undeniable – increased focus in the classroom, improved mood, and a sense of vitality that permeates throughout the campus. Through these practices, our school educates and empowers students to make informed choices that support a lifetime of wellbeing. To date, the students have raised € 6,500 for Loreto Rumbek and Pieta House. A special thanks to Ms.Purcell,Mr. Prizeman and Mr. Stringer for organising a fantastic week.
