Focus Ireland
On Friday 13th of October over 150 Loreto Balbriggan Transition Year students joined in solidarity with schools, clubs and other groups throughout Ireland to raise awareness and vital funds for homeless charity Focus Ireland.
Despite the cold weather the students wrapped up warm, kept their spirits high and camped out all night in the school gym as part of the ‘Shine a Light’ campaign. As a result of their efforts they raised an outstanding €5242.00.
The students deserve great credit for their efforts and positivity on the night. A special mention must go to the TY Fundraising Committee for promoting this vital cause throughout the school community.
