Leaving Certificate PE
Many thanks to journalist Paul Kimmage for speaking to our LCPE students today. He spoke about topics such as; PEDs(performance-enhancing drugs) in high-performance sports, the negative effects of PEDs, Biological Passports, whereabouts forms, WADA, psychological preparation for endurance events, nutrition during performance, an insight into high-profile athletes he has met and about his career in journalism.
The classes had prepared questions for him to answer with direct links to the LCPE curriculum.
