As we start the month of February, we are reminded that Spring is just around the corner. Spring is the season of growth when the gloom of winter is forgotten in the anticipation of growing brightness and life. Spring is also the season of hope when fresh buds bloom, animals awaken and the earth becomes alive. Therefore in these unusual times, we look to nature as a source of hope. This beautiful piece of poetry Wild Geese by Mary Oliver is a reminder that when we feel displacement or disconnection from what we are doing or where we find ourselves, we can become reconnected by spending time in nature.
